Role & Responsibilities
- Manage bank accounting, account reconciliations, accounting entries, and bank statement verification
- Oversee petty cash operations at headquarters and Italian retail locations, including cash advances, accounting entries, and reintegration
- Monitor monthly closing actuals
- Plan and manage short-term cash flow projections
- Manage budget planning and periodic annual revisions
- Manage currency exposure reporting for foreign exchange hedging and plan periodic financial charges for headquarters and European subsidiaries
- Interact with local and foreign financial institutions and external consultants
- Prepare letters of credit and documentary credit negotiations
- Assess customer creditworthiness and manage credit risk insurance
- Monitor ongoing customer exposure and arrears with corresponding shipment blocks/releases
- Prepare written reminders and maintain constant contact with delinquent customers, establish repayment plans, and coordinate legal proceedings
- Maintain constant interaction with commercial and customer service areas, external consultants, and internal company structures
Qualifications
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience in a similar role at well-structured companies, preferably in the fashion sector
- Strong English language proficiency; additional languages advantageous
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite, particularly Excel, and enterprise systems such as SAP S4, Piteco, Board, Power BI, or equivalent
- Willingness to undertake travel within Italy as required
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with problem-solving orientation and collaborative attitude
Skills
Experience
3–5 years in treasury, credit management, or financial operations roles at well-structured organizations, preferably within the fashion or luxury goods industry. Experience with bank accounting, cash management, budget planning, and credit monitoring required.
