Marni is seeking a Fabric Operations Specialist to manage supplier relationships, fabric sampling and orders, and operational support for collection development. The role reports to the Fabric Manager and offers a CCNL Industria contract with a gross annual base salary of €35,000, flexible working hours, smart working, and meal vouchers.
Role & Responsibilities
- Maintain relationships with suppliers, mills, and other partners of the Fabric Research Department.
- Request quotations, availability, minimum order quantities, and delivery lead times for fabric samples.
- Monitor supplier activities and progress to ensure collection development timelines and Design Team priorities are met.
- Manage issues related to orders, deliveries, quantities, or documentation, involving relevant departments when necessary.
- Maintain up-to-date supplier information, documentation, and sample purchasing budget tracking.
- Enter, update, and monitor fabric, sample, and material orders.
- Verify order confirmations, prices, quantities, commercial conditions, and delivery dates.
- Monitor order status and prepare reports and updates for the team.
- Track receipt of fabric samples and verify consistency between received materials, orders, and related documentation.
- Support purchasing-related administrative documentation and collaborate with the Finance and Purchasing Departments to ensure processes are correctly executed.
- Ensure data accuracy and timely updates in company systems.
- Support the team’s daily collection development activities.
- Coordinate with internal stakeholders to gather priorities, requests, and timelines.
- Contribute to organizing and maintaining the fabric archive, collection documentation, and related information.
- Support the team during peak periods associated with collection development and finalization.
Qualifications
- 3–5 years of experience in Direct Purchasing, Fabric Research & Development, Procurement, or Supply Chain roles, preferably within fashion or luxury companies.
- Proven experience in the operational management of suppliers and purchase orders.
- Experience working closely with creative teams and cross-functional business departments.
- Advanced knowledge of Excel and familiarity with ERP/business management systems.
- Good command of English.

The successful candidate will be located in Milan, Lombardy, Italy.
Compensation
The base compensation for this position is EUR 35,000 per annum.
