Marc Jacobs seeks a Wholesale Area Manager (EMEA) in London — French & English speaking, to manage department store and travel retail wholesale accounts.
Role & Responsibilities
- Execute the brand’s strategic wholesale plan across the EMEA territory, driving sell‑in while optimising sell‑out through department stores, travel retail and multi‑brand partners.
- Meet or exceed area turnover and operating profit objectives; negotiate commercial terms, investments and growth targets with major regional partners.
- Lead wholesale business activities during market weeks including showroom and virtual presentations, order negotiation, client appointments and coordination with sales administration for order confirmation.
- Develop and implement commercial operations (pop‑ups, training, sales incentives, visual merchandising) in collaboration with marketing, ensuring disciplined spend and ROI.
- Monitor partner stock levels, propose reorders to avoid stockouts, and implement action plans and incentives to drive sell‑out performance.
- Prepare short-, mid‑ and long‑term strategic plans and budgets; manage monthly and annual sales and expense reporting and present performance versus targets.
- Ensure commercial agreements comply with legal requirements and maintain accurate contractual documentation.
- Support credit management and customer service to preserve strong partner relationships and resolve operational issues.
- Regularly visit key points of sale to optimise assortment, merchandising and in‑store presentation for maximum commercial impact.
Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in a similar wholesale role within the luxury fashion sector.
- Proven track record negotiating and closing business with department stores, travel retail and multi‑brand partners in the EMEA region.
- Demonstrable P&L and budget management experience with strong commercial acumen.
- Experience leading and developing a Sales Administration or wholesale support team; comfortable working in a matrix organisation.
- Native or fluent written and spoken French and English (both essential); operational Italian highly desirable.
- Excellent analytical skills and proficiency in sales planning, forecasting and performance analysis.

Education
