Make Up For Ever seeks Senior FP&A Controller in Levallois-Perret, France for 6-month contract managing financial planning and overhead costs.
Role & Responsibilities
- Produce synthesis reports presenting revenue and results across multiple analytical dimensions (country, region, point of sale, distribution channel, products)
- Analyze variances, issue alerts for overruns, and support subsidiaries in achieving targets
- Analyze monthly results and prepare monitoring dashboards for key indicators (sell-out, sell-in, margin, opex, FX effects)
- Assess product performance (sell-out, sell-in, and marketing spend)
- Produce executive summaries on business evolution and strategic outlook
- Conduct monthly business reviews with all 20 markets across four geographic zones (Asia, Middle East, Americas, Europe)
- Pilot the budgeting process (budgets, re-forecasts, strategic plans)
- Challenge and validate market submissions and key assumptions
- Prepare reports providing clear visibility on results and variance
- Manage alignment activities relative to actual performance
- Support production of the Budget Book for Executive Committee and LVMH Group
- Execute quarterly revenue re-forecasts by market
- Consolidate, analyze, and track forecasts by product line
- Monitor central overhead expenses at headquarters and training academy with operational teams
- Update spending during forecasts (Budget, R1, R2, landing) in coordination with departments; challenge submissions; analyze risks and opportunities
- Promote a stronger financial culture across the organization
- Collaborate with accounting and procurement teams
- Manage and mentor two permanent employees and one intern
- Implement and monitor management rules and financial focus areas across subsidiaries
- Maintain tools and train teams
- Drive cost control and financial monitoring improvement projects
- Prepare benchmarking analyses as needed
- Conduct ad-hoc P&L analyses by channel, ecommerce, and cost category for results optimization
- Present analyses to senior management
- Collaborate with supply chain and operational marketing teams
Qualifications
- Master's degree from a business school or equivalent university qualification with specialization in finance, economics-management, or accounting
- Minimum 5 to 7 years of professional experience
- Prior experience as a Country, Regional, or Business Unit Controller
- Solid accounting and financial knowledge
- Advanced proficiency with reporting tools (Magnitude-BO FC, Power BI)
- Excellent Excel skills (formulas, databases, macros)
- Mastery of P&L and key performance indicators
- Fluency in French and English (written and spoken in professional context)
- Strong analytical and synthesis capabilities with ability to focus on detail
- Demonstrated rigor, precision, and solution-oriented mindset
- Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage priorities within time constraints and across broad scope
- Agile, assertive, and compassionate management style
- Ability to transfer knowledge and communicate financial concepts accessibly
