Product Manager at Make Up For Ever in Seoul: develop marketing strategy, manage product forecasts, and drive brand growth in Korea's cosmetics market.
Role & Responsibilities
- Develop and communicate comprehensive marketing strategies for the Korean market based on Asia-Pacific corporate guidelines and local market requirements
- Prepare annual marketing and promotional plans, including new product launches and ongoing basic business support
- Forecast and monitor product sales performance by category, identifying underperforming products and recommending corrective actions
- Analyze new product market potential based on marketing briefs, market analysis, and consumer trends; prepare and execute promotional strategies for launches
- Establish annual sales forecasts by product category and monitor actual performance against forecast, communicating revisions to relevant departments
- Monitor and manage gross margin across basic stock and new products, establishing promotional pricing strategies aligned with financial objectives
- Conduct regular forecast meetings with planning teams to address inventory issues, product availability, and demand challenges
- Prepare weekly product sales reports and provide additional reporting on new product launch results to the Marketing & Digital Director and regional teams
- Liaise with registration, import, and supply functions to ensure marketing plan fulfillment within scheduled timelines
- Manage stock allocation and prepare product selection lists for staff sales, partner, and family sales events
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or above in Marketing, Business, or related discipline
- Minimum 7 years of professional experience in the cosmetics industry or FMCG sector
- Fluent in Korean and English (both written and spoken)
- Demonstrated expertise in product management and marketing strategy development
- Strong proficiency with sales forecasting, financial analysis, and statistical interpretation
- Advanced knowledge of makeup products, cosmetic market trends, and consumer behavior in Asia-Pacific regions
Skills
Experience
Minimum 7 years of professional experience in cosmetics, makeup, or FMCG industries, with demonstrated expertise in product management, marketing strategy, and financial planning.
Education
Bachelor's degree or above in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
