Make Up For Ever Japan seeks an E-commerce Manager reporting to the General Manager to lead and grow its ecommerce business, drive performance across sales, conversion, retention and customer engagement, and manage a team. The role is permanent and full-time, with a hybrid working mode; candidates from outside the beauty category are welcome.
Role & Responsibilities
- Drive ecommerce sales growth across direct and indirect channels, with accountability for target achievement and continuous KPI improvement.
- Manage the brand’s digital platform and ecommerce operations, including website management, online merchandising, campaign deployment, and overall business performance.
- Monitor and improve traffic, conversion, average order value, retention, and campaign effectiveness, using data to identify opportunities and improve performance.
- Lead digital marketing initiatives across relevant channels, including SEO, paid search, email, and social media, with a focus on execution quality and return on investment.
- Develop and implement CRM initiatives across online and offline touchpoints, using customer data to strengthen acquisition, engagement, repeat purchase, and loyalty.
- Work closely with internal stakeholders, external partners, and headquarters to align plans, execute effectively, and solve problems quickly.
- Manage and develop team members, setting clear expectations, maintaining high standards, and supporting strong execution.
Qualifications
- Solid ecommerce management experience and a strong understanding of ecommerce platforms, website management, online merchandising, digital marketing, and CRM.
- Commercial acumen and comfort being measured on results, with a focus on sales, conversion, retention, and execution quality, and the ability to turn business goals into action.
- Strong ownership and a proactive approach to improving performance.
- Analytical and data-driven, with the ability to interpret performance, identify issues, and make sound decisions quickly.
- Strong leadership and team management skills, with the judgment and interpersonal skills to work effectively across functions and with external partners.
- Organized, hands-on, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-moving environment.
- Familiarity with ecommerce analytics tools, CRM systems, and CMS platforms.
