Maison Margiela — Paris: Retail Merchandising Intern (6‑month internship) supporting Central Merchandising with sales analysis, replenishment and assortment planning.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Analyze sales performance by product and store; prepare weekly, monthly and seasonal sell‑through reports and recommend corrective actions and growth opportunities.
  • Produce analyses and consolidated reports relating to worldwide retail sales data.
  • Support coordination of master orders and key assortments by region/channel before and during showroom periods within buying tools and systems.
  • Perform replenishment analysis and prepare reorder proposals for regional and market teams.
  • Maintain continuous information exchange with regional teams regarding product needs and competitor offers through active follow‑up.
  • Consolidate inputs from regions and channels on commercial trends and translate findings into actionable recommendations.
  • Provide feedback to Central Merchandising and Collection Merchandising to adapt assortments to market demand.
  • Coordinate planned actions with Business Planning and track the delivery calendar for key items.

Qualifications

  • Enrolled in or completing a Master's program (Bac+4/5) in Economics, Management, Business or an equivalent field.
  • Strong commercial awareness and business sensibility with an analytical mindset.
  • Fluent in French and English (written and spoken).
  • Proven attention to detail, accuracy and problem‑solving ability.
  • Team player with flexibility to support cross‑functional stakeholders.
  • Previous experience in buying, retail merchandising or merchandise planning is a plus.

Experience

Internship level: candidate should be currently enrolled in or completing a Master’s program; prior exposure to retail buying, merchandising or merchandise planning roles is advantageous but not mandatory.

Education

Master's degree in Economics, Management, Business or equivalent (enrolled or recently completed).
