M·A·C is seeking a Retail Makeup Artist for a casual role at Myer Ballarat, delivering personalized makeup consultations, artistry and customer service while driving sales, KPIs, appointments and events. The role upholds brand standards for visual merchandising, hygiene and professional grooming, and includes mandatory paid training; travel may be required.

Role & Responsibilities

• Deliver exceptional, personalized customer service through consultations and tailored makeup solutions.
• Use makeup application expertise, demonstrations and trend-led artistry to create a welcoming, high-energy in-store experience that inspires and educates customers.
• Build lasting customer relationships and achieve sales targets and KPIs by driving retail events, makeup appointments and theme days.
• Confidently wear and demonstrate diverse makeup looks.
• Contribute to in-store events, brand activations and other brand moments as part of a high-performing team.
• Maintain M·A·C standards for visual merchandising, hygiene, grooming and professionalism, including polished all-black professional attire.
• Attend mandatory paid training sessions, both virtual and in person; travel may be required.
• Provide see-it-say-it feedback.

Qualifications

• Strong makeup skills, whether self-taught or accredited; a portfolio or examples of makeup work are required.
• Ability to deliver exceptional customer service, follow grooming guidelines and achieve KPIs.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• A positive, collaborative team attitude.
• Openness to feedback and commitment to professional growth.
• Flexible availability, including late nights and weekends.
• Ability to travel to other locations when required.
• Impeccable grooming.
