MAC is seeking a creative and personable Retail Artist for its Glasgow location to deliver an inspiring, personalized in-store experience through expert product knowledge and technical expertise in makeup artistry. The role combines customer education, point-of-sale operations, and visual merchandising excellence across retail hours including evenings, weekends, and special events. This position offers an entry point into prestige beauty retail for individuals with amateur to professional-level makeup experience.
Role & Responsibilities
- Provide consultative, personalized makeup guidance and product recommendations to customers in a welcoming, inspirational atmosphere
- Execute point-of-sale transactions with accuracy and professionalism using retail software systems
- Maintain visual merchandising standards and contribute to in-store events that differentiate MAC against competitors
- Collaborate with team members to uphold high operational and presentation standards
- Educate customers on product benefits, application techniques, and brand values
Qualifications
- Demonstrated ability to provide inspirational, authentic and personalized customer service
- Proficiency with retail point-of-sale software
- Willingness to work flexible retail hours including evenings, weekends, and special events in a fast-paced environment
- Proof of right to live and work in the United Kingdom
Skills
Experience
Retail sales experience in beauty or cosmetics is desirable; however, candidates with amateur-level makeup artistry experience and strong customer service acumen are welcome to apply.
Education
Formal retail certification is preferred but not required.
