A part-time in-store makeup artist role at MAC's Canary Wharf location, combining creative and technical expertise with customer education and personalized beauty consultation. The incumbent will perform makeovers and beauty applications, conduct in-store events, maintain visual merchandising standards, and deliver inspirational customer experiences whilst working as part of a high-performing retail team. Makeup artistry certification or prior retail beauty experience is preferred but not required; training is provided.
Role & Responsibilities
- Apply makeup artistry techniques to provide personalized beauty consultations and makeovers that educate and delight customers
- Create an inspirational and welcoming in-store experience through authentic, consultative customer engagement
- Collaborate with the retail team to execute in-store events and promotions that generate impact and drive sales
- Maintain high standards of visual merchandising and product displays to ensure the store remains competitive
- Operate point-of-sale systems and manage transactions with efficiency and accuracy
- Work flexibly across retail hours including evenings, weekends, and special events in a fast-paced environment
Qualifications
- Qualification in makeup artistry or previous retail beauty experience preferred; amateur-level experience with demonstrated creative and technical expertise is acceptable
- Proven ability to deliver inspirational, authentic, and personalized customer service
- Flexibility to work retail hours including days, evenings, weekends, and special events
- Experience with retail point-of-sale software
- Right to live and work in the United Kingdom

Experience
Makeup artistry certification or previous retail makeup experience is desirable; however, applicants with amateur-level experience who can demonstrate strong creative and technical expertise are also encouraged to apply.
Education
Makeup artistry qualification or equivalent certification is preferred but not required. Applicants without formal qualifications but with demonstrable creative and technical expertise are welcome to apply.
