As a makeup artist for MAC, part of Estée Lauder Companies, the successful candidate will combine creative and technical expertise with a passion for client engagement to deliver personalized, inspirational in-store experiences. The role encompasses makeup consultations, product applications, participation in in-store events, and visual merchandising excellence. While makeup artistry certification or previous retail makeup experience is preferred, candidates with amateur-level experience and demonstrated creative skill are welcome to apply; the organization provides comprehensive training and development within a diversity-focused prestige beauty environment.

Role & Responsibilities

• Provide personalized and inspirational in-store makeup consultations and applications that educate and delight customers
• Leverage creative and technical expertise to deliver welcoming, customized beauty experiences
• Participate in in-store events and product demonstrations to create impact and drive customer engagement
• Maintain high standards of visual merchandising and store presentation to ensure competitive differentiation
• Operate retail point-of-sale systems and process transactions accurately
• Collaborate with team members to achieve sales targets and store performance objectives in a fast-paced environment

Qualifications

• Makeup artistry certification or previous retail makeup experience preferred, though amateur-level experience with demonstrated creative and technical expertise is welcome
• Proven ability to deliver inspirational, authentic, and personalized customer service
• Availability to work retail hours including days, evenings, weekends, and special events
• Prior experience with retail point-of-sale software systems
• Proof of right to live and work in Canada

Skills

Experience

Certification in makeup artistry or previous retail makeup experience is desirable but not required; amateur-level experience with strong creative and technical foundation is acceptable. Experience with retail point-of-sale systems is advantageous.

Education

Makeup artistry certification or equivalent professional training is preferred but not mandatory. High school diploma or equivalent is typically expected.
