MAC is seeking an on-call Makeup Artist for its Åhlens counter in Umeå. The role has variable hours based on business needs and staffing requirements, with no minimum or guaranteed working hours, and reports to the Counter Manager. The Makeup Artist delivers personalised customer service, makeup services and in-store events while supporting sales and counter standards.
Role & Responsibilities
- Deliver a welcoming, inspirational and personalised in-store experience that educates and delights customers.
- Guide customers through MAC’s product offering and recommend products in line with their needs.
- Contribute to individual sales targets.
- Keep the counter tidy and replenished, maintaining visual merchandising in accordance with brand guidelines.
- Build collaborative relationships with colleagues and the Counter Manager.
- Perform services, participate in in-store events and support colleagues.
- Handle cashiering and promote customer satisfaction and loyalty in support of the business’s financial objectives.
Qualifications
- A makeup artistry qualification or previous retail makeup experience is preferred; applicants with amateur-level experience are welcome if they can demonstrate a high level of creative and technical expertise.
- Demonstrated ability to provide inspirational, authentic and personalised customer service.
- Availability for retail hours, including days, nights, weekends and special events in a fast-paced work environment.
- Previous experience with retail point-of-sale software.
- Ability to provide proof of the right to live and work in Sweden if invited to interview.
