M·A·C seeks a skilled Makeup Artist to deliver personalized in-store beauty consultations, combining creative and technical expertise with exceptional customer service. The role encompasses product application artistry, customer education on makeup techniques and skincare, and contribution to in-store visual merchandising and special events. Applicants may be professionals with makeup artistry certification or retail beauty experience, as well as those demonstrating strong foundational creative skills.
Role & Responsibilities
- Apply makeup artistry to enhance customer features and educate on application techniques
- Provide personalized consultations and product recommendations tailored to individual customer needs and skin types
- Execute high-standard visual merchandising displays to strengthen brand differentiation in the retail environment
- Support in-store promotional events and demonstrations to drive customer engagement and sales
- Maintain POS system proficiency for transactions and customer relationship management
- Uphold brand standards and store presentation excellence in a fast-paced retail setting
Qualifications
- Makeup artistry certification or equivalent professional experience preferred; amateur-level experience with demonstrated creative and technical expertise also considered
- Proven ability to deliver inspirational, authentic, and personalized customer service
- Flexibility to work retail hours including days, evenings, weekends, and special events
- Proficiency with retail point-of-sale software
- Legal right to work in Canada

Experience
While makeup artistry certification or previous retail beauty experience is preferred, applications are welcomed from candidates demonstrating high levels of creative and technical expertise at amateur level.
Education
High school diploma or equivalent; makeup artistry certification preferred but not required.
