MAC is seeking a skilled Makeup Artist to deliver personalized, inspirational in-store consultations and makeovers for customers at the Cross Iron Mall location in Calgary. The role combines creative expertise with technical proficiency in color theory, application techniques, and cosmetic product knowledge to provide transformative beauty experiences. The artist will contribute to in-store events, maintain visual merchandising excellence, and work collaboratively within a high-performing retail team in a fast-paced environment.

Role & Responsibilities

• Provide personalized makeup consultations and applications that educate and delight customers
• Execute product demonstrations and in-store beauty events to drive engagement and sales
• Maintain expertise in current makeup trends, color theory, and MAC's full product portfolio
• Contribute to visual merchandising standards and brand presentation throughout the store
• Collaborate with team members to create exceptional customer experiences and achieve sales targets
• Operate retail point-of-sale systems accurately and efficiently
• Support inventory management and maintain compliance with store cleanliness and safety standards

Qualifications

• Certification in makeup artistry or proven retail makeup experience (preferred but not required)
• Demonstrated ability to provide personalized, inspirational, and authentic customer service
• Proficiency with retail point-of-sale software systems
• Flexibility to work retail hours including days, evenings, weekends, and special events
• Legal right to live and work in Canada

Skills

Experience

Certification in makeup artistry or previous retail makeup experience is preferred but not required; applicants with amateur-level experience who demonstrate strong creative and technical expertise are encouraged to apply.

Education

High school diploma or equivalent; makeup artistry certification or formal beauty training is desirable but not mandatory.
