Estée Lauder Companies seeks a Makeup Artist for the MAC brand at its Chattanooga retail location to deliver personalized beauty consultations and in-store customer experiences. The freelance position requires expertise in makeup application, visual merchandising execution, and promotional event activation in a fast-paced retail environment. Ideal candidates combine creative and technical beauty knowledge with strong interpersonal skills and flexible retail availability.

Role & Responsibilities

• Deliver personalized, high-quality customer service and professional makeup consultations to in-store customers
• Execute and maintain visual merchandising displays and presentation standards across the retail sales floor
• Support and execute in-store promotional events and product demonstrations to drive customer engagement and brand awareness
• Maintain active product knowledge of MAC offerings, application techniques, and brand heritage to effectively educate customers
• Collaborate with store team members to ensure smooth floor operations and optimal customer experience during assigned shifts

Qualifications

• Demonstrated ability to provide inspirational, authentic, and personalized customer service in a retail beauty environment
• Proven ability to work flexible retail hours including days, evenings, weekends, and special events in a dynamic, fast-paced setting
• Legal authorization to work in the United States
• Previous retail or prestige beauty industry experience (preferred)
• Familiarity with retail sales execution and customer-facing service delivery (preferred)

Skills

Experience

Demonstrated expertise in providing personalized customer service with a background in retail or prestige beauty environments preferred. Experience executing visual merchandising, engaging in product demonstrations, and managing customer interactions in fast-paced retail settings is advantageous.

Education

No specific educational credential is required; however, professional development in makeup artistry, cosmetics certification, or related beauty training is advantageous.

Compensation

The base compensation for this position ranges from USD 21.60 to USD 32.40 per hour.
