M·A·C, a prestige beauty brand of The Estée Lauder Companies, seeks a part-time Makeup Artist to deliver inspirational, personalized in-store beauty experiences in Columbia, Maryland. The successful candidate will combine creative and technical expertise with a passion for customer engagement, providing makeup consultations and services while maintaining high standards of visual merchandising. Role & Responsibilities

• Provide personalized makeup consultations and application services to customers in a retail environment
• Execute creative makeup demonstrations and styling to educate and inspire customers
• Collaborate with store team members to execute in-store beauty events and initiatives
• Maintain high standards of visual merchandising and brand presentation throughout the store
• Operate retail point-of-sale systems and process transactions accurately
• Engage customers authentically to understand their beauty needs and recommend appropriate products

Qualifications

• Demonstrated ability to provide inspirational, authentic, and personalized customer service
• Ability to work flexible retail hours including days, evenings, weekends, and special events
• Experience with retail point-of-sale software systems
• Proof of right to live and work in the United States
• Creative and technical expertise in makeup application (certification or professional experience preferred; amateur-level experience with strong technical skills acceptable)

Experience

While professional makeup artistry certification or previous retail makeup experience is desirable, the company welcomes applicants with amateur-level experience who can demonstrate strong creative and technical expertise and a genuine passion for beauty and customer engagement.

Education

No formal educational requirement stated; makeup artistry certification or equivalent training is preferred but not required.

Compensation

The base compensation for this position ranges from USD 18 to USD 23.50 per hour.
