As a skilled makeup artist at MAC, you will deliver personalized in-store consultations, combining creative expertise with technical proficiency to educate and inspire customers. Collaborating with a dynamic team, you will contribute to in-store events, maintain visual merchandising excellence, and provide an elevated prestige beauty retail experience. The role welcomes candidates with makeup artistry certification or retail makeup experience, as well as those with demonstrated amateur-level expertise seeking professional development in prestige beauty.

Role & Responsibilities

• Provide personalized, inspirational makeup consultations and tutorials to customers in-store
• Demonstrate makeup application techniques and product knowledge to educate customers on MAC offerings
• Collaborate with the team to execute in-store events and promotional activities
• Maintain high visual merchandising standards and product displays throughout the beauty counter
• Process customer transactions using retail point-of-sale software
• Work flexibly across retail hours including days, evenings, weekends, and special events

Qualifications

• Ability to demonstrate high-level creative and technical makeup expertise (professional certification or retail experience preferred; amateur-level experience considered if skills are evident)
• Proven ability to deliver inspirational, authentic, and personalized customer service
• Experience with retail point-of-sale (POS) software systems
• Flexibility to work retail hours including evenings, weekends, and special events
• Right to live and work in Canada

Experience

Amateur level makeup experience welcomed; professional makeup artistry certification or previous retail makeup counter experience is preferred but not required.

Education

High school diploma or equivalent; makeup artistry certification or equivalent training preferred but not mandatory.
