Role & Responsibilities
- Deliver personalized in-store consultations and makeup applications to customers, combining creative and technical expertise with a passion for client education and satisfaction
- Lead and participate in in-store beauty events and promotions, driving customer engagement and brand awareness within the John Lewis environment
- Maintain rigorous visual merchandising standards throughout the MAC counter to ensure compelling product displays and competitive positioning
- Provide inspirational and authentic customer service that reflects the prestige beauty brand values and elevates the overall retail experience
- Operate retail point-of-sale software to process transactions, manage inventory queries, and maintain accurate sales records
Qualifications
- Certification in makeup artistry or previous retail makeup experience (preferred; amateur-level experience with demonstrated creative and technical expertise also considered)
- Proven ability to provide inspirational, authentic, and personalized customer service in a retail environment
- Availability to work flexible retail hours, including days, evenings, weekends, and special events
- Experience with retail point-of-sale software systems
- Right to live and work in the United Kingdom
Skills
Experience
Certification in makeup artistry and/or previous retail makeup experience is desirable; however, candidates with amateur-level experience who can demonstrate strong creative and technical expertise are also welcome to apply.
Education
