MAC, part of Estée Lauder Companies, seeks a creative and enthusiastic Make-up Artist for a permanent part-time role (7.5 hours per week) at the MAC counter in Kicks Trondheim. The successful candidate will provide personalized, consultative makeup services to customers while maintaining counter visual standards and achieving individual sales targets. This position combines technical makeup expertise with authentic customer engagement to deliver an inspirational in-store experience aligned with the brand's prestige beauty positioning.
Role & Responsibilities
- Provide exceptional and personalized customer experiences by identifying and recommending products tailored to individual needs
- Achieve individual sales targets through consultative selling and product knowledge
- Maintain counter hygiene and visual merchandising standards in accordance with brand guidelines
- Participate in in-store events and collaborate with colleagues to create brand impact
- Administer cashiering operations and foster customer loyalty to support business objectives
- Establish collaborative relationships with the Counter Manager and team members within a dynamic retail environment
Qualifications
- Qualification in makeup artistry or previous retail makeup experience; amateur-level experience with demonstrated creative and technical expertise is acceptable
- Previous retail experience, preferably within cosmetics or prestige beauty
- Makeup or other beauty-related certifications (preferred)
- Proficiency in a Scandinavian language and English, both verbal and written
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a dynamic environment
- Availability to work retail hours including evenings, weekends, and special events
- Strong interpersonal and listening skills with a natural ability to engage and captivate customers
- Outgoing, positive, and proactive personality with solution-oriented mindset
Skills
Experience
Previous retail experience in cosmetics or beauty is preferred. Candidates may have amateur-level makeup experience provided they demonstrate strong creative and technical expertise and a passion for customer engagement.
Education
Formal qualification in makeup artistry or beauty-related certification is preferred but not mandatory. Candidates with demonstrated creative and technical expertise are encouraged to apply.
