MAC Make-up Artist on-call position in Sandvika, Oslo. Part-time flexible shifts, beauty retail experience preferred. Estée Lauder Companies.
Role & Responsibilities
- Reach individual sales targets through consultative selling and customer engagement
- Provide exceptional, personalized customer experiences by identifying and recommending products tailored to client needs
- Maintain counter aesthetics, inventory, and visual merchandising standards in alignment with brand guidelines
- Perform makeup application services and participate in in-store promotional events
- Administer point-of-sale transactions and ensure accurate cashiering to support business financial objectives
- Build collaborative relationships with team members and direct manager
- Support colleagues and contribute to a cohesive retail environment
Qualifications
- Qualification in makeup artistry or demonstrated proficiency through amateur-level experience with strong creative and technical expertise
- Previous retail experience, preferably in cosmetics or prestige beauty
- Beauty or makeup certification (preferred)
- Fluency in Norwegian or Swedish and English, both verbal and written
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a dynamic retail environment
- Availability for retail hours including days, evenings, weekends, and special events
- Ability to accept shifts with short notice
- Excellent social and listening skills
- Natural storytelling ability and customer engagement aptitude
- Solution-oriented mindset with a positive, proactive demeanor
Skills
Experience
Retail experience in cosmetics or prestige beauty is preferred, though candidates with strong creative and technical makeup expertise at an amateur level will be considered.
Education
Makeup artistry qualification or beauty certification preferred; however, strong demonstrated technical and creative expertise may substitute for formal credentials.
Workplace
This position is based in Sandvika, Akershus, Norway, within easy reach of Oslo.
