MAC is seeking a highly skilled Make-up Artist to deliver personalized, inspirational in-store experiences at its Victoria Square location in Belfast. The role combines technical cosmetic application expertise with customer engagement and retail execution, including participation in in-store events and maintenance of visual merchandising standards. Part-time position offering training and development within a prestige beauty portfolio.
Role & Responsibilities
- Apply creative and technical expertise to provide personalized makeup consultations and demonstrations to customers
- Educate customers on product selection, application techniques, and skincare benefits
- Maintain high standards of visual merchandising within the store to ensure competitive differentiation
- Participate in in-store events and promotional activities to drive customer engagement and sales
- Operate retail point-of-sale systems and manage transactions efficiently
- Work collaboratively as part of a high-performing team in a fast-paced retail environment
Qualifications
- Certification or formal qualification in makeup artistry, or demonstrated equivalent technical expertise through previous retail makeup experience
- Proven ability to deliver inspirational, authentic, and personalized customer service
- Flexibility to work retail hours including days, evenings, weekends, and special events
- Experience with retail point-of-sale software
- Legal right to live and work in the United Kingdom
Skills
Experience
While certification in makeup artistry or previous retail makeup experience is preferred, applicants with amateur-level experience demonstrating strong creative and technical expertise are encouraged to apply. Prior exposure to point-of-sale systems is advantageous.
Education
Certification or formal qualification in makeup artistry is preferred but not mandatory; candidates with demonstrable technical expertise through experience or training are welcome.
