MAC Cosmetics seeks a passionate Make-Up Artist to deliver exceptional in-store beauty experiences whilst driving sales performance at its Douglas location in Hengelo. The ideal candidate combines 1–2 years of sales experience in beauty retail with 2–3 years of professional makeup artistry expertise, delivering personalized, luxury-focused service that inspires clients and contributes to team commercial success. This temporary, part-time position requires flexibility across store hours including evenings, weekends, and special events.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Create personalized makeup experiences that inspire and delight clients whilst demonstrating product expertise and application mastery
  • Recommend products confidently and maximize sales opportunities through consultative selling and trend-forward styling
  • Educate clients on makeup techniques, product benefits, and brand heritage, fostering authentic connections and loyalty
  • Maintain exemplary customer service standards throughout all customer interactions, ensuring memorable retail experiences
  • Actively contribute to store performance targets and team commercial success through consistent sales achievement
  • Stay current with emerging makeup trends, social media developments, and luxury beauty industry innovations

Qualifications

  • 1–2 years of proven sales experience, preferably in the beauty or luxury retail sector
  • 2–3 years of professional makeup artistry experience with demonstrable portfolio or client work
  • Degree or professional certification in esthetics and/or makeup artistry (preferred)
  • Fluency in Dutch and English
  • Exceptional ability to balance artistic creativity with commercial acumen and sales discipline
  • Demonstrated expertise in delivering luxury, personalized, and authentic service experiences
