MAC, a prestige beauty brand within The Estée Lauder Companies, seeks a creative and technically skilled Make-up Artist to deliver personalized, inspirational in-store experiences that educate and delight customers. The role combines makeup application expertise with retail sales acumen, requiring the candidate to contribute to in-store events, visual merchandising excellence, and high-performing team dynamics in a fast-paced environment. While formal makeup artistry certification or retail beauty experience is preferred, candidates with strong creative and technical capabilities and a passion for customer engagement are encouraged to apply.

Role & Responsibilities

• Provide personalized makeup consultation and application services that educate and inspire customers
• Contribute to in-store events and initiatives that create measurable sales impact
• Maintain elevated visual merchandising standards to differentiate the brand against competitors
• Operate retail point-of-sale systems accurately and efficiently
• Demonstrate authentic, inspirational customer service while building client relationships
• Support team goals and collaborate with colleagues to achieve store performance targets

Qualifications

• Demonstrated ability to provide inspirational, authentic, and personalized customer service
• Ability to work flexible retail hours including days, evenings, weekends, and special events
• Experience with retail point-of-sale software
• Makeup artistry certification or previous retail makeup experience preferred; amateur-level experience with demonstrated technical expertise also considered
• Proof of legal right to work in the United States

Skills

Experience

Amateur-level makeup experience or higher is welcomed; previous retail makeup experience is preferred but not required for candidates demonstrating strong creative and technical expertise.

Education

Makeup artistry certification preferred but not required.

Compensation

The base compensation for this position ranges from USD 17.33 to USD 28.88 per hour.
