M·A·C Cosmetics seeks a talented Make-up Artist to join its team in Bern, Switzerland. This role combines artistic expertise with sales acumen, requiring the candidate to deliver creative, personalized makeup applications and touch-ups while providing exceptional product consultation and driving retail sales. The position encompasses counter promotions, merchandise presentation, and embodiment of M·A·C's brand philosophy centered on artistic expression, inclusivity, and diversity.

Role & Responsibilities

• Execute creative and color-accurate makeup applications and touch-ups tailored to client needs and preferences
• Deliver consultative, service-oriented product advice and close sales transactions with professionalism
• Lead and conclude customer interactions with confidence and expertise
• Contribute to achievement of sales targets and effective implementation of brand values and aesthetic standards
• Conduct counter activations, promotional events, and professional merchandise displays to drive engagement and sales

Qualifications

• Diploma or formal certification as a Make-up Artist, or equivalent professional makeup background
• Demonstrated experience applying makeup and working in retail or cosmetics sales
• Enthusiastic, collaborative team player with an outgoing and positive personality
• Self-directed with strong team and goal orientation
• Proficiency in German (essential); English proficiency advantageous
• Flexibility with scheduling, including weekend availability
• Impeccable interpersonal skills and polished professional appearance

Skills

Experience

First professional experience in makeup application and retail sales is required; candidates should demonstrate a solid foundation in cosmetics application techniques and proven success in customer-facing sales environments.

Education

Diploma or formal certification as a Make-up Artist, or equivalent professional makeup training and qualifications.
