MAC seeks a highly skilled Retail Artist to deliver personalized, inspirational in-store beauty experiences at the Boots Swansea location. The role combines creative and technical makeup expertise with exceptional customer service, supported by participation in in-store events and maintenance of premium visual merchandising standards. This part-time position (10 hours weekly) offers training and career development within a prestige beauty environment that values diversity and talent.
Role & Responsibilities
- Provide creative and technical makeup application services to customers during in-store consultations
- Deliver inspirational, authentic, and personalized beauty education and product guidance
- Participate in and execute in-store promotional events and beauty experiences
- Maintain rigorous visual merchandising standards and point-of-sale presentation
- Operate retail point-of-sale software systems accurately and efficiently
- Work collaboratively within a high-performing retail team to drive sales and customer satisfaction
- Demonstrate product knowledge and ensure brand consistency throughout shift
Qualifications
- Makeup artistry certification or previous retail makeup experience (preferred but not required)
- Demonstrated high level of creative and technical makeup expertise, including amateur-level experience
- Proven ability to deliver inspirational, authentic, and personalized customer service
- Flexibility to work retail hours including days, evenings, weekends, and special events
- Prior experience with retail point-of-sale software systems
- Right to live and work in the United Kingdom

Experience
While certification in makeup artistry and previous retail makeup experience is desirable, the employer welcomes applicants with amateur-level experience who can demonstrate high-level creative and technical makeup expertise and a strong commitment to customer service excellence.
