MAC Cosmetics seeks a skilled makeup artist to deliver personalized in-store experiences through cosmetics consultation, application, and artistry. The successful candidate will combine creative expertise with technical proficiency to educate and delight customers while maintaining the brand's elevated visual merchandising standards. Candidates with makeup artistry certification or retail beauty experience are preferred, though amateur-level expertise paired with demonstrated creative and technical aptitude will be considered.

Role & Responsibilities

• Provide inspirational, personalized in-store makeup consultations, demonstrations, and applications that educate and delight customers
• Maintain the highest standards of visual merchandising within the store environment to differentiate the brand against competitors
• Collaborate with team members to execute in-store events and product launches that drive impact and sales
• Operate retail point-of-sale systems accurately and efficiently
• Demonstrate authentic customer service and build lasting client relationships through product knowledge and artistry
• Maintain product knowledge and stay current with seasonal collections and makeup techniques

Qualifications

• Makeup artistry certification or previous retail makeup experience preferred; amateur-level experience with demonstrated creative and technical expertise considered
• Proven ability to deliver inspirational, authentic, and personalized customer service
• Capacity to work flexible retail hours including days, evenings, weekends, and special events in a fast-paced environment
• Experience with retail point-of-sale software
• Right to live and work in the United Kingdom

Experience

Makeup artistry certification or previous retail makeup experience is preferred; however, candidates with amateur-level experience and demonstrable creative and technical expertise are encouraged to apply.

Education

Makeup artistry certification or equivalent training is desirable but not mandatory.
