A creative and technically skilled makeup artist will deliver personalized in-store experiences at the MAC counter, combining artistry with customer education and engagement. The role encompasses makeup application, color consultation, product knowledge demonstration, and participation in in-store events while maintaining high visual merchandising standards. This part-time position offers training and development within a prestige beauty retail environment.
Role & Responsibilities
- Provide expertly crafted makeup application and color consultation services to customers
- Deliver inspirational and personalized in-store experiences that educate and delight customers
- Participate in in-store events and promotions to create impact and drive sales
- Maintain high standards of visual merchandising to differentiate MAC's counter from competitors
- Process transactions using retail point-of-sale software
- Collaborate with team members to achieve store objectives and performance targets
- Demonstrate product knowledge and build customer relationships through authentic engagement
Qualifications
- Certification in makeup artistry or previous retail makeup experience preferred (amateur-level experience considered)
- Demonstrated high level of creative and technical expertise in makeup application
- Ability to provide inspirational, authentic, and personalized customer service
- Flexibility to work retail hours including days, evenings, weekends, and special events
- Previous experience with retail point-of-sale software
- Proof of right to live and work in Canada
