A highly skilled Beauty Advisor at MAC combines creative and technical expertise with a passion for customer engagement to deliver personalized, inspirational in-store experiences. The role encompasses product consultation, makeup application, visual merchandising excellence, and participation in in-store events as part of a high-performing retail team dedicated to prestige beauty excellence.
Role & Responsibilities
- Provide personalized, inspirational makeup consultations and applications that educate and delight customers
- Deliver authentic, premium customer service aligned with MAC's brand positioning and values
- Execute in-store events and demonstrations to drive customer engagement and brand impact
- Maintain exceptional visual merchandising standards to differentiate the store from competitors
- Operate point-of-sale systems and complete all transactional requirements efficiently
- Work collaboratively within a high-performing team to achieve store targets and standards
- Demonstrate deep product knowledge and make tailored recommendations based on individual customer needs
Qualifications
- Certification or formal training in makeup artistry, or equivalent professional makeup experience in retail
- Ability to demonstrate exceptional creative and technical expertise in makeup application
- Proven ability to deliver inspirational, authentic, and personalized customer service in a luxury retail environment
- Proficiency with retail point-of-sale software systems
- Flexibility to work retail hours including evenings, weekends, and special events
- Legal right to work and residency in the United Kingdom
Skills
Experience
Certification in makeup artistry and/or previous retail makeup experience is preferred; however, candidates with amateur-level experience who can demonstrate high-level creative and technical expertise will be considered.
Education
Formal qualification in makeup artistry, cosmetology, or related beauty discipline is preferred but not mandatory.
