Estée Lauder Companies seeks a highly skilled freelance sales associate to deliver personalized in-store experiences in makeup application, skincare advice, hair, and fragrance consultations at the MAC counter in Scarborough Town Center. The role combines creative and technical expertise with customer engagement, including participation in in-store events and maintaining visual merchandising standards. While makeup artistry certification and prior retail beauty experience are desirable, the company welcomes applicants with beginner-level expertise and provides comprehensive training and development opportunities.

Role & Responsibilities

• Provide expert makeup application, skincare consultations, hair advice, and fragrance recommendations to customers in a welcoming and inspirational manner
• Deliver personalized, authentic customer service that educates and delights clients and demonstrates product knowledge
• Participate in high-impact in-store events and collaborative team initiatives
• Maintain visual merchandising standards and brand presentation to compete effectively in the retail environment
• Operate retail point-of-sale systems accurately and efficiently during retail hours

Qualifications

• Ability to demonstrate creative and technical expertise in beauty application or consultation
• Proven capacity to provide inspirational, authentic, and personalized customer service
• Availability to work retail hours including days, evenings, weekends, and special events in a fast-paced environment
• Prior experience with retail point-of-sale software
• Legal right to work in Canada (proof required if interviewed)

Skills

Experience

Retail beauty experience is preferred but not required; the company welcomes applicants with amateur-level expertise who can demonstrate strong creative and technical abilities and a commitment to customer excellence.

Education

Makeup artistry certification is desirable but not required. Equivalent demonstration of creative and technical expertise is acceptable.

Compensation

The base compensation for this position ranges from CAD 18.60 to CAD 20 per hour.
