Estée Lauder Companies seeks a freelance beauty advisor to deliver makeup application, skincare consultation, hair, and fragrance guidance in a retail setting. This on-call position combines creative expertise with technical product knowledge to create personalized, inspirational in-store experiences that educate and delight customers. The role includes participation in visual merchandising initiatives and in-store events, contributing to high retail performance standards.

Role & Responsibilities

• Deliver makeup application, skincare advice, hair consultation, and fragrance recommendations to customers
• Create personalized and inspirational in-store experiences through authentic, attentive customer service
• Participate in in-store events and visual merchandising initiatives to drive sales and brand visibility
• Maintain high standards of product and counter presentation to ensure competitive visual merchandising
• Operate retail point-of-sale software and process customer transactions
• Work collaboratively with store team to achieve sales targets and maintain operational excellence

Qualifications

• Ability to demonstrate high-level creative and technical expertise in beauty application or consultation
• Proven ability to deliver inspirational, authentic, and personalized customer service
• Capability to work flexible retail hours including days, evenings, weekends, and special events
• Experience with retail point-of-sale software systems
• Right to live and work in Canada

Skills

Experience

Retail makeup or beauty counter experience is preferred; however, candidates with amateur-level expertise and demonstrable creative and technical skills are welcome to apply.

Education

No specific educational requirement stated; certification in makeup artistry is desirable but not required.

Compensation

The base compensation for this position ranges from CAD 18.50 to CAD 21 per hour.
