A talented beauty advisor and makeup artist will deliver inspirational, personalized in-store experiences that educate and delight customers while ensuring high visual merchandising standards at a prestige beauty counter. This temporary full-time role combines creative expertise with technical proficiency to drive in-store engagement, coordinate beauty events, and contribute to a high-performing retail team within MAC's flagship London Bridge location.
Role & Responsibilities
- Apply advanced makeup artistry techniques to provide personalized beauty consultations and transformative looks for customers
- Deliver exceptional, authentic customer service that inspires and educates clients on product benefits and application methods
- Execute in-store beauty events and demonstrations to create impactful brand experiences and drive customer engagement
- Maintain visual merchandising standards throughout the counter to ensure competitive positioning and brand excellence
- Operate retail point-of-sale systems and process transactions accurately during assigned shifts
- Work collaboratively within a high-performing team to achieve sales targets and operational goals
- Demonstrate proficiency as a keyholder, managing counter opening and closing procedures as required
Qualifications
- Certification or formal training in makeup artistry, or demonstrated amateur-level expertise in makeup application and beauty techniques
- Proven ability to deliver inspirational, authentic, and personalized customer service in a prestige retail environment
- Capacity to work retail hours including days, evenings, weekends, and special events in a fast-paced environment
- Experience with retail point-of-sale software systems
- Right to live and work in the United Kingdom with proof available upon request
Skills
Experience
Certification in makeup artistry or previous retail makeup experience is preferred; however, applicants demonstrating strong creative and technical expertise at amateur level are welcome to apply.
Education
Certification or formal qualification in makeup artistry is desirable but not required; candidates with demonstrated creative and technical aptitude will be considered.
