As a highly skilled makeup artist for MAC, the role combines creative and technical expertise with customer engagement to deliver personalized in-store experiences that educate and inspire clients. Role & Responsibilities
- Apply makeup artistry techniques to deliver personalized, consultative client experiences and educate customers on products and application methods
- Assist in executing in-store events and promotions to drive brand awareness and sales impact
- Maintain high standards of visual merchandising and store presentation to differentiate the brand from competitors
- Deliver inspirational and authentic customer service while building lasting client relationships
- Operate retail point-of-sale systems to process transactions efficiently and accurately
- Support the retail team in achieving daily sales targets and departmental objectives
Qualifications
- Certification or qualification in makeup artistry, or demonstrated previous retail makeup experience
- Ability to provide inspirational, authentic, and personalized customer service
- Capability to work flexible retail hours including evenings, weekends, and special events in a fast-paced environment
- Experience with retail point-of-sale (POS) software systems
- Proof of right to live and work in the United Kingdom
Skills
Experience
Formal qualifications in makeup artistry or previous retail makeup experience is preferred; however, candidates with amateur-level experience demonstrating high levels of creative and technical expertise are encouraged to apply.
Education
Qualification or certification in makeup artistry is desirable; however, this is not essential for candidates with equivalent professional or amateur experience in makeup application.
