MAC seeks highly skilled freelance sales associates to deliver personalized beauty consultations spanning makeup application, skincare, fragrance, and hair advice. The role combines creative expertise with customer-centric service to create an inspirational in-store experience, while supporting visual merchandising standards and in-store events. Certification in makeup artistry and retail experience are desirable but not required; applicants with beginner-level expertise and enthusiasm for prestige beauty are equally welcome.
Role & Responsibilities
- Provide personalized makeup application, skincare advice, fragrance consultations, and hair recommendations to customers
- Educate and delight customers through authentic, inspirational in-store interactions
- Support in-store events and promotional initiatives
- Maintain visual merchandising standards to ensure competitive display excellence
- Operate retail point-of-sale software with accuracy and efficiency
- Collaborate with team members to achieve store performance targets
Qualifications
- Ability to demonstrate inspirational, authentic, and personalized customer service
- Ability to work retail hours including days, nights, weekends, and special events
- Previous experience with retail point-of-sale software
- Proof of right to live and work in Canada
- Retail experience preferred; amateur-level expertise with demonstrated creative and technical ability also welcomed
Skills
Experience
Retail makeup or beauty experience is preferred; however, applicants with amateur-level expertise and strong creative skills are encouraged to apply. Previous experience operating retail point-of-sale systems is required.
Education
Certification in makeup artistry or formal beauty training is desirable but not required. Applicants with demonstrable creative and technical expertise at any level are welcome to apply.
