A highly skilled makeup artist role combining creative and technical expertise with a passion for customer engagement. The successful candidate will provide welcoming, inspirational, and personalized in-store beauty consultations that educate and delight customers, while collaborating with the team on impactful in-store events and maintaining exemplary visual merchandising standards. Certification in makeup artistry and prior retail experience are preferred, though amateur-level candidates with demonstrated creative and technical capability are welcome to apply.
Role & Responsibilities
- Provide personalized, inspirational makeup artistry and beauty consultation services that educate and delight customers
- Collaborate with team members to execute high-impact in-store events and product launches
- Maintain premium visual merchandising standards to differentiate the store from competitors
- Assist with point-of-sale transactions and retail operations during assigned shifts
- Demonstrate proficiency in MAC product knowledge and application techniques
- Work effectively during retail hours including weekends, evenings, and special events
Qualifications
- Qualification in makeup artistry or previous retail makeup experience preferred; amateur-level experience with demonstrated creative and technical expertise considered
- Proven ability to deliver inspirational, authentic, and personalized customer service
- Capacity to work flexible retail hours including days, evenings, weekends, and special events in a fast-paced environment
- Prior experience with retail point-of-sale software systems
- Proof of right to live and work in Australia
Skills
Experience
While certification in makeup artistry and prior retail makeup experience are desirable, candidates with amateur-level experience who can demonstrate a high level of creative and technical expertise are welcome to apply.
Education
Qualification in makeup artistry is preferred but not required.
