A part-time Make-Up Artist role at MAC Cosmetics, a prestige brand within the Estée Lauder Companies portfolio. The position combines artistry with commercial acumen, requiring the successful candidate to deliver personalized makeup consultations, conduct on-skin demonstrations, drive product sales, and meet retail targets. This role is based at the Bijenkorf Amsterdam location and demands flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and special events.

Role & Responsibilities

• Deliver personalized makeup consultations and on-skin demonstrations that inspire and engage customers
• Provide expert product recommendations and educate clients on makeup application techniques and product benefits
• Achieve individual and team sales targets while maintaining the highest standard of customer service
• Build meaningful client relationships and foster brand loyalty through authentic, luxury service experiences
• Stay current with makeup trends, seasonal collections, and social media-driven beauty initiatives
• Support in-store visual merchandising, events, and product launches
• Maintain detailed product knowledge across the MAC Cosmetics range and related brands

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of sales experience, preferably within the beauty or luxury retail sector
• 2–3 years of professional makeup artistry experience
• Certification or diploma as an esthetician and/or makeup artist (preferred)
• Fluency in Dutch and English
• Advanced proficiency in current makeup techniques and trends
• Demonstrated ability to meet and exceed sales targets

Skills

Experience

1–2 years of sales experience in beauty or luxury retail; 2–3 years of professional makeup artistry experience

Education

Certification or diploma as an esthetician and/or makeup artist is preferred but not required
