MAC Cosmetics Make-Up Artist, The Hague, Netherlands — part-time 32h role combining artistry and retail sales expertise.
Role & Responsibilities
- Perform professional makeup applications and transformations for clients, demonstrating signature MAC techniques and artistry
- Conduct one-on-one client consultations to identify preferences, skin tones, and makeup goals, delivering tailored product recommendations
- Educate clients on makeup application techniques, product benefits, and brand storytelling to inspire confidence and purchase intent
- Meet and exceed personal and team sales targets while maintaining consistent service excellence
- Build and nurture client relationships through personalized follow-up, social media engagement, and loyalty cultivation
- Execute in-store visual merchandising, product displays, and promotional activities to maximize brand visibility
- Stay current with makeup trends, seasonal collections, and brand innovations to provide trend-forward advice
- Support team performance through collaboration, knowledge-sharing, and contribution to store objectives
- Maintain flexibility to work store hours including evenings, weekends, and special events as required
Qualifications
- 1–2 years of professional sales experience, preferably in beauty retail or luxury cosmetics
- 2–3 years of documented professional makeup artistry experience
- Esthetician or makeup artist certification (preferred)
- Demonstrated expertise in luxury service delivery and personalized client experiences
- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets
- Current knowledge of makeup trends and proficiency with social media platforms
- Fluent in Dutch and English (written and verbal)
- Flexibility to accommodate retail schedule including weekends, evenings, and special events
Skills
Experience
1–2 years of sales experience in beauty retail or cosmetics, combined with 2–3 years of professional makeup artistry practice. Demonstrable ability to translate artistic skill into retail success through client engagement and sales achievement.
Education
Secondary education (high school diploma or equivalent) required; esthetician or makeup artist certification from an accredited institution is preferred.
