MAC is seeking a skilled Beauty Advisor to deliver personalized in-store consultations that educate and inspire customers through expert makeup application and colour guidance. This role combines creative artistry with exceptional customer service to create memorable beauty experiences and support store visual standards in a dynamic retail environment.
Role & Responsibilities
- Provide expert makeup consultation and application services to create personalized beauty looks tailored to individual customer needs and preferences
- Educate customers on product benefits, techniques, and brand heritage to drive product knowledge and loyalty
- Collaborate with team members to execute in-store events and promotional activities that generate customer engagement and sales impact
- Maintain visual merchandising standards and product displays to ensure the store environment reflects brand excellence and differentiates against competitors
- Process transactions and manage customer relationships using retail point-of-sale systems
- Work flexible retail hours including evenings, weekends, and special events to maximize customer touchpoints
Qualifications
- Demonstrated creative and technical makeup expertise at professional or advanced amateur level
- Proven ability to deliver inspirational, authentic, and personalized customer service
- Capacity to work flexible retail hours including evenings, weekends, and special events in a fast-paced environment
- Previous experience with retail point-of-sale software systems
- Right to live and work in Australia (proof required for interview
Skills
Experience
While certification in makeup artistry and/or previous retail makeup experience is preferred, the organization welcomes applicants with amateur-level creative expertise who can demonstrate strong technical proficiency and a passion for customer engagement.
Education
Certification in makeup artistry or equivalent professional qualification is preferred but not required. Applicants with demonstrable amateur-level expertise and self-directed learning are encouraged to apply.
