Role & Responsibilities
- Deliver personalized makeup consultations and shade-matching services to customers at point of sale
- Apply makeup artistry techniques to demonstrate product benefits and desired effects
- Educate customers on product ingredients, application methods, and skincare compatibility
- Maintain product knowledge across the full MAC color and skincare portfolio
- Drive sales through informed product recommendations and upselling opportunities
- Ensure point-of-sale transactions are processed accurately and efficiently
- Maintain counter display standards and inventory management
- Build lasting customer relationships through exceptional service and follow-up engagement
Qualifications
- Passion for makeup artistry and color cosmetics
- Proven experience as a beauty advisor, makeup artist, or in a comparable retail beauty role
- Strong knowledge of makeup application techniques and color theory
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced retail environment and meet sales targets
Skills
Experience
Previous experience in beauty retail, cosmetics sales, or makeup artistry is expected. Familiarity with prestige beauty brands and departmental or specialty retail settings is advantageous.
Education
High school diploma or equivalent; cosmetology certification or similar beauty training is preferred but not required.
