As a Beauty Advisor at MAC, you will combine creative and technical expertise with genuine passion for clients to deliver a welcoming, inspirational and personalized in-store experience. The role encompasses makeup application, product education, in-store events, and visual merchandising standards. Working as part of a high-performing retail team, you will drive sales whilst maintaining the brand's prestige positioning and competitive differentiation in the beauty market.
Role & Responsibilities
- Apply makeup artistry skills to provide personalized consultations and makeovers for customers
- Educate clients on product features, benefits, and application techniques to drive informed purchasing decisions
- Collaborate with store team to execute in-store events and promotional campaigns that create customer engagement
- Maintain visual merchandising standards and product displays to reflect MAC's brand aesthetic and competitive positioning
- Operate retail point-of-sale systems accurately and efficiently
- Work flexible retail hours including evenings, weekends, and special events in a fast-paced environment
Qualifications
- Certification in makeup artistry or previous retail makeup experience (preferred but not required)
- Amateur-level makeup proficiency with demonstrated creative and technical expertise
- Ability to deliver inspirational, authentic and personalized customer service consistently
- Capacity to work retail hours including evenings, weekends and special events
- Proficiency with retail point-of-sale software systems
- Proof of right to live and work in Canada
Skills
Experience
Previous retail makeup experience is desirable but not required. Amateur-level experience with demonstrated creative and technical expertise is welcomed.
Education
Certification in makeup artistry is preferred but not required.
