The Assistant Store Manager supports the Store Manager in leading, coaching and developing a team of Sales Associates to achieve all sales, customer service and operational targets. This leadership position requires proven supervisory and retail operations expertise in a fast-paced environment, with responsibility for team development, inventory management, cash reconciliation and customer service excellence in a prestige beauty retail setting.
Role & Responsibilities
- Lead, coach and develop Sales Associates to achieve sales, customer service and operational targets
- Support the Store Manager in all aspects of store operations and team management
- Mentor team members to reach their full potential and deliver exceptional customer experiences
- Manage retail operations including inventory management and cash reconciliation
- Maintain standards of customer service and product knowledge across the team
- Work retail hours including days, nights, weekends and special events as required
Qualifications
- Proven retail experience preferably within cosmetics or prestige beauty
- Previous supervisory experience with a demonstrated track record of coaching and mentoring teams
- Proven ability to provide inspirational, authentic and personalized customer service
- Retail operations experience including inventory management and cash reconciliation
- Experience with retail point-of-sale software systems
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Ability to work flexible retail hours including evenings, weekends and special events
- Right to live and work in Canada
Skills
Experience
Proven supervisory and retail operations experience in a fast-paced retail environment, preferably within cosmetics or prestige beauty. Track record of successfully coaching and mentoring Sales Associates to achieve sales and customer service targets required.
Education
High school diploma or equivalent; additional retail management certification or training is an asset.
