MAC, a prestige cosmetics brand within The Estée Lauder Companies portfolio, seeks an Assistant Store Manager to support the Store Manager in driving sales performance and operational excellence. The successful candidate will lead and mentor a team of Sales Associates, manage point-of-sale operations and inventory, and ensure exceptional customer service standards are consistently met. This full-time position requires demonstrated supervisory experience within the beauty retail sector and a proven ability to coach high-performing teams in a fast-paced environment.
Role & Responsibilities
- Support the Store Manager in leading, coaching, and developing the Sales Associate team to achieve sales, customer service, and operational targets
- Oversee retail operations including inventory management, stock rotation, and cash reconciliation
- Provide inspirational, personalized customer service and maintain brand standards across all customer interactions
- Manage point-of-sale systems and associated daily reconciliation procedures
- Schedule and supervise team members across all retail hours including evenings, weekends, and special events
- Drive sales performance and report on key metrics to store management
- Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures
- Support visual merchandising and store presentation standards
Qualifications
- Proven retail experience, preferably within the cosmetics or prestige beauty sector
- Demonstrated supervisory or team lead experience with a track record of mentoring and coaching others
- Strong retail operations knowledge including inventory management and cash handling
- Experience with retail point-of-sale software systems
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Ability to provide inspirational, authentic, and personalized customer service
- Flexibility to work retail hours including days, evenings, weekends, and special events
- Proof of legal right to work in the United States

Experience
Proven supervisory and coaching experience gained in a fast-paced retail environment, preferably within cosmetics or prestige beauty. Demonstrated ability to lead teams to achieve sales and customer service targets.
Education
High school diploma or equivalent; further retail management or business education preferred.
