MAC Cosmetics seeks an inspirational Assistant Store Manager to support the Store Manager in leading and developing a Sales Associate team while achieving all sales, customer service, and operational targets. The ideal candidate will combine proven supervisory and coaching capabilities with strong retail operations expertise, including inventory management and cash reconciliation, in a fast-paced prestige beauty retail environment.
Role & Responsibilities
- Lead, coach, and develop a Sales Associate team to achieve sales, customer service, and operational targets
- Support the Store Manager in overall store operations and strategic initiatives
- Manage retail operations including inventory management, cash reconciliation, and point-of-sale systems
- Provide inspirational and personalized customer service, modeling excellence for the team
- Supervise retail floor activities including days, nights, weekends, and special events
- Mentor and support team members to reach their full potential and sales objectives
Qualifications
- Proven retail experience, preferably within cosmetics or prestige beauty
- Previous supervisory experience with a demonstrated track record of coaching and mentoring
- Strong retail operations experience including inventory management and cash reconciliation
- Experience with retail point-of-sale software systems
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Ability to provide inspirational, authentic, and personalized customer service
- Flexibility to work retail hours including days, nights, weekends, and special events
- Proof of legal right to live and work in Canada
Skills
Experience
Proven supervisory and coaching experience in fast-paced retail, preferably in cosmetics or prestige beauty. Demonstrated ability to lead teams, manage retail operations, and consistently achieve sales and customer service targets.
Education
High school diploma or equivalent required; retail management certification or cosmetics training preferred.
