Watch & Jewellery maison in Tokyo seeks a Watch Repair Support Technician (contract) for onsite atelier tasks and parts management.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Manage spare parts inventory: store components on designated shelves according to assigned code numbers and pick parts as required for repair workflows.
  • Perform quality inspections of repaired watches and jewellery, verifying completion and conformity with internal guidelines.
  • Clean watch parts and jewellery pre- and post-polishing using water, steam and appropriate cleaning methods.
  • Execute basic watch repair tasks including disassembly/reassembly of cases and bracelets, battery replacement for quartz watches, and movement exchange under supervision.
  • Perform ancillary repair-related tasks such as routine data entry into workshop systems and simple email correspondence.

Qualifications

  • Possession of a disability certificate (障がい者手帳) — mandatory.
  • Basic PC literacy desirable (ability to perform system data entry and simple email correspondence).
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow technical guidelines and standard operating procedures.
