Givenchy Japan VMD Manager in Tokyo—establish brand imagery across retail network, manage VMD strategy, and support sales growth with 5+ years' luxury retail experience.
Role & Responsibilities
- Create and implement Japan-specific Visual Merchandising guidelines aligned with LVMH global standards, ensuring consistent execution across all retail locations
- Conduct regular store visits to provide merchandising support, monitor implementation quality, and identify opportunities to enhance sales performance
- Design and deliver VMD training programs for retail staff to strengthen brand presentation and customer experience
- Maintain strong communication and collaborative relationships with the Paris HQ VMD team, retail network, and cross-functional departments including Merchandising, PR & Communication, Logistics, and BPC
- Partner with HQ VMD and Architecture teams from the initial store planning phase to develop optimal visual merchandising and product display strategies
- Oversee VMD budget planning and monitoring to ensure cost-efficient execution of all visual merchandising activities
- Manage VMD fixtures, tools, and inventory systems, coordinating with warehouse operations and ensuring appropriate distribution to retail locations
Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of professional experience in Visual Merchandising, luxury retail, or related merchandising disciplines
- Demonstrated expertise in VMD strategy development and implementation at the regional or national level
- Proficiency in translating global brand guidelines to local market contexts
- Strong project management and budget oversight capabilities
- Proven ability to train, mentor, and influence retail teams
Skills
Experience
5 years or more of professional experience in Visual Merchandising, luxury retail, or related merchandising roles, with demonstrated success in supporting sales growth and enhancing brand image through strategic product display and styling.
Education
High school diploma or equivalent; tertiary education in Fashion, Retail Management, Visual Arts, or related disciplines is preferred.
Workplace
The successful candidate will be located in Minato, Tokyo, Japan, with easy access to Tokyo.
