Fashion Group — Tax Manager (Hybrid) in Singapore. Senior tax role overseeing APAC compliance and advisory across multiple Maisons.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Oversee all direct and indirect tax compliance across multiple jurisdictions (corporate income tax, GST/VAT, withholding tax), ensuring timely and accurate preparation and filing of tax returns and statutory reports.
  • Manage tax provisions, deferred tax calculations and tax disclosures for month‑end, quarter‑end and year‑end reporting, including review of tax accounting entries and reconciliations to ensure IFRS/GAAP alignment.
  • Provide tax advisory and planning support for operational, commercial and cross‑border transactions (store openings, restructurings, intercompany arrangements), using data analysis to inform decisions.
  • Maintain and review transfer pricing policies and documentation to ensure compliance and commercial alignment across entities.
  • Establish and maintain robust tax controls, processes and documentation standards; identify tax risks and optimisation opportunities and recommend mitigating actions.
  • Lead and coordinate tax audits and authority enquiries, managing responses and maintaining governance to support regulatory reviews.
  • Partner with Finance, Legal, M&A and business teams to embed tax requirements into end‑to‑end finance processes and commercial initiatives.
  • Drive systems and process improvements, including ERP alignment, tax reporting tool enhancements, automation and other digital transformation initiatives.
  • Support ad hoc tax projects such as buybacks, liquidations and legal entity setups as required.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Taxation or related discipline.
  • Professional qualification preferred (CPA, ACCA, CA, ATA or equivalent).
  • Extensive technical knowledge of corporate tax, GST/VAT, withholding tax and transfer pricing.
  • Solid understanding of IFRS and local GAAP tax accounting and disclosure requirements.
  • Demonstrable ability to manage tax audits and interact with external advisors and tax authorities.
  • Strong analytical skills, attention to detail and proven ability to manage complex multi‑entity tax matters.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills for cross‑functional collaboration at regional and group levels.

Experience

Minimum of 10–12+ years of progressive experience in tax, finance or audit, with preference for candidates who have managed tax operations in a regional or multi‑market luxury retail environment and worked with external advisors (including Big Four firms).

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Taxation or a related field; professional qualification such as CPA, ACCA or CA preferred.
