LVMH Purchasing Manager in Shanghai – Lead indirect procurement and supplier strategy across Asia-Pacific with focus on ESG integration and global compliance.
Role & Responsibilities
- Execute purchasing strategy in collaboration with internal stakeholders including buyers and delegated buyers from the Group's Maisons, validating business needs and developing clear specifications
- Conduct market and risk analyses to identify and recommend qualified suppliers, designing and managing competitive tender processes (RFx)
- Manage global and local supplier contracts, including renewal planning, performance monitoring, and regular business reviews with strategic suppliers
- Evaluate supplier performance, organize vendor meetings to foster innovation, drive continuous improvement initiatives, and attend industry events to strengthen relationships
- Monitor KPIs, implement corrective actions, and support supplier development plans while consolidating and communicating performance data across the region
- Organize and facilitate cross-functional procurement coordination meetings to align priorities, share best practices, and track category performance
- Maintain internal knowledge platforms including Regional Purchasing Newsletter, Microsoft Teams channels, Data Lakes, and Spend Visibility tools
- Support reporting to local and global leadership on savings tracking, project updates, and contract database maintenance
- Contribute to ad hoc projects including procurement tool development, policy refinement, data analysis, and coordinate LVMH Purchasing Academy events
- Manage year-end rebate redistribution processes to the Maisons and maintain close collaboration with sourcing teams in Paris, Shanghai, and the United States
- Integrate ESG risk criteria into supplier selection, qualification, and evaluation processes, assessing environmental impact, labor practices, human rights, and business ethics
- Leverage due diligence tools including supplier self-assessments, third-party audits, and ESG rating platforms to evaluate and mitigate supply chain risks
- Collaborate with Legal, Compliance, Internal Control, and Security teams to ensure adherence to local and international frameworks
- Escalate high-risk cases and support remediation plans, including supplier engagement or replacement when necessary
Qualifications
- Degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Supply Chain, or a related field (Sustainability or Procurement specialization preferred)
- 8–10 years of proven experience in indirect procurement, preferably in multinational environments
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills with demonstrated ability to build trust across diverse stakeholders
- Proactive, hands-on mindset with strong initiative and ability to work independently in a fast-paced, complex organization
- Strong organizational and prioritization skills capable of managing multiple projects with integrity and precision
- Advanced proficiency in Excel with excellent PowerPoint presentation skills
- Fluency in English and Mandarin Chinese (French is a plus)
- Willingness to travel regularly within the APAC region (approximately once per quarter)

Experience
8–10 years of proven experience in indirect procurement, preferably within multinational organizations. Demonstrated expertise in supplier relationship management, competitive tendering, contract negotiation, and cross-functional collaboration in complex, matrix-driven environments is essential.
Education
Degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field. Specialization in Sustainability or Procurement is advantageous.
