LVMH Fragrance Brands seeks a Packaging Workshop Manager in Vervins, France — permanent full-time role leading packaging operations and a team of ~60.
Role & Responsibilities
- Direct packaging operations to ensure product availability while meeting Safety, Quality, Cost and Delivery (SQCD) standards and deadlines.
- Lead continuous improvement of packaging performance as part of the plant’s improvement programme to achieve operational excellence.
- Ensure product quality by enforcing Good Manufacturing Practices (BPF), specific product requirements and hygiene procedures.
- Manage a team of approximately 60 operators: organise work assignments, develop people through training and performance reviews, and animate vocational streams.
- Own production scheduling in collaboration with planning to meet service rates and to manage launches (DIS).
- Drive daily performance management using SQCD indicators and lead improvement projects (5S, TPM, SMED, zéro défaut).
- Contribute to the production unit’s budgetary management, including budget preparation, investment planning and establishment of production cost standards.
- Ensure compliance with environmental directives and occupational health & safety regulations.
Qualifications
- Engineering degree or equivalent qualification.
- Minimum five years' supervisory experience in a production/manufacturing environment; experience in cosmetics or FMCG is an advantage.
- Proven managerial capabilities with experience organising teams, leading training and conducting performance reviews.
- Demonstrable command of Lean Manufacturing methodologies and continuous improvement tools.
- Strong organisational, problem-solving and project-management skills with the ability to obtain team buy-in.
Skills
Experience
At least 5 years of progressive supervisory experience in production or manufacturing, ideally within cosmetics, perfumery, or fast-moving consumer goods, with proven team leadership and continuous improvement track record.
Education
Engineering degree or equivalent.
