LVMH Gaïa — Materials & Processes Intern in Paris. Internship supporting new materials research for fashion and leather goods.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Manage the LVMH Gaïa materials library (materiauthèque), including its physical collection and associated digital inventory system.
  • Conduct bibliographic research and state-of-the-art reviews on innovative materials, fibres and processing techniques for fashion and leather goods, with particular attention to bio‑based alternatives.
  • Lead small-scale project work to evaluate one or more candidate materials: collect experimental or literature data, analyse results and draft technical conclusions.
  • Prepare concise written syntheses and recommendations identifying relevant research partners, suppliers and actors in the materials ecosystem.
  • Coordinate stakeholder engagement: schedule introductory meetings and participate in first contacts with identified partners.

Qualifications

  • Currently enrolled in a Bac+4/5 (master’s-level) programme in materials science, physical chemistry of materials, textile engineering or a closely related discipline.
  • Demonstrable interest in research-driven innovation and sustainable materials for fashion and leather goods.
  • Organised, adaptable, rigorous and responsive; able to work collaboratively within cross-disciplinary teams.
  • Fluent English (written and spoken) is mandatory.

Experience
