LVMH Métiers d'Art / Robans — Leather Garment Tailoring Intern, Florence. Full-time 3–6 month hands-on internship in leather tailoring and production.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Undertake a structured 3–6 month, full-time extracurricular internship combining classroom instruction and hands-on workshop practice at Robans’ internal academy.
  • Learn and execute fundamental sewing and garment-construction techniques specific to leather apparel, from component assembly to final finishing.
  • Operate and maintain production equipment including sewing machines, buttonholers and overlock (serger) machines under supervision.
  • Perform manual finishing and high-precision handwork to meet maison quality standards.
  • Follow the full production cycle and core manufacturing processes, complying with timing, quality targets and workshop procedures.
  • Collaborate with internal production teams; accept feedback and contribute to a results-oriented, team-based workflow.
  • Maintain a safe, organized workspace and document work progress as required by trainers and supervisors.

Qualifications

  • Open to entry-level candidates; programme recruiting four trainees.
  • Strong interest in sartoria, artisanal craftsmanship and leather goods production.
  • Manual dexterity, fine motor control, precision and strong attention to detail.
  • Team-oriented attitude, punctuality, professionalism and commitment to learning.
  • Relevant vocational studies in fashion, tailoring or related artisanal training preferred, or demonstrable motivation to pursue a tailoring career.
  • Residence within ~20 km of the workplace is preferred.
