Role & Responsibilities

  • Calibrate and control laboratory measurement instruments and ensure metrological traceability.
  • Analyse received musts and fermenting musts, including sensory tasting of musts.
  • Perform routine tank sampling and conduct laboratory analyses to monitor vinification.
  • Record and communicate analytical results to the laboratory manager and cellar managers in a timely manner.
  • Identify, report and escalate any non-conforming results or process deviations with rapid reactivity.
  • Conduct all activities in strict compliance with established quality, hygiene, safety and environmental procedures (MHCS policies).

Qualifications

  • Two-year post-secondary degree (Bac+2) in Laboratory Science, Chemistry or equivalent.
  • Minimum 3 years of professional experience in a laboratory setting; experience in oenology or winery laboratories preferred.
  • Proven competence in laboratory manipulations and metrology.
  • Strong organisational skills, rigor, responsiveness and the ability to work under pressure during harvest.
  • Good interpersonal skills, teamwork orientation and discretion.
